forward.

I'll keep on going forward. A lot of times I get unsure of myself and compare myself a lot to other photographers and wonder if this is the path God wants me on. Yet, a simple thing as a friend telling me that they're waiting for me to update this blog, or hearing my friends saying they want me to do their wedding in the future inspires me. It inspires me to try harder, learn new techniques, better my skills, and go further. Although I still don't know what's going on, I can do it with the help of my friends who have got my back. Thank you. <3

i'm back.

Sorry for the delay! Expect more blog posts in the near future! :)

So here are some of my favorite pictures from past events that have been going on in the last quarter of sophomore year. It's so sad to see how fast time goes by.

unintended hiatus.

My laptop is currently undergoing intensive surgery right now, so I am unable to edit any pictures, thus no more entries for several more days. Sigh. I feel so sad without having my pictures...

first model.

When I first got into photography and went crazy with my camera, my sister was the one person in my family who would willingly model for a good while, until she thought it was too much. haha. But this post goes out to you, sister! :D

take me away.

Sometimes I just want to get away from it all. I just want to drop everything that's stressing me out and just be free to...be.This always happens - this familiar feeling of stress taking over me. I just want to go somewhere far away and forget about it all.

One day, I'll look back on this and realize how far I've come. Realize how much this doesn't matter. Realize how much more worth it it will be. One day.

Until then, I'm just going to look at that long road ahead. But it's okay, as long as I'm surrounded by God, friends, and family.

photoshoot - 4/3/10.

This is the second round of models that said they were willing to help out. The lighting was pretty harsh because we went at a bad time in the afternoon, but still managed to get some good shots! Not to mention the models were so good! I just need to learn how to pose them. Especially guys. Sorry Tracy! :(

By the way, this is at the Woodbridge Lake. So pretty with the gazebo! I want to go there again and shoot at night or during a sunset. :)

photoshoot - 4/2/10.

I talked about it with a few of my photography lover friends, and we always wanted to shoot pictures. However, it never happened, so I decided to take the initiative and start something up. Once everyone got back from spring break, I messaged a mess of people asking if they wanted to do something. This is the first of the two days. Planning was a bit hectic, but I have learned how to better plan these things. Heh!

This is in the Arts part of UCI. Pretty interesting place to shoot at.

From this photoshoot, I realized that I do tend to shoot a certain way, and I really like to do portrait/candid shots. I need to break out of this habit! Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Shout out to my BEAUTIFUL friends who were so willing to model for me and the other people who shot. They were SO GOOD. Couldn't have asked for better models! I hope I did your beauty justice. :)

During my spring break, I went to visit some friends to bake cupcakes for a missions team in LA. It was really fun just seeing familiar faces in their hometown and just spending time together. I think I was getting some Irvine-withdrawals. haha.

inspiration.

I always get inspired when I meet people and find out that they're already in the photography business. Although there are many times when I feel like I might not cut it in the business, I get inspired by them and forget about my doubts and keep on dreaming.

dance, dance, dance.

My sister is a dancer. Because of her, I think I got more interested in dance and how you could seamlessly translate lyrics from a song into movement with your own body. I also love how there's so much passion in it. In dance, it seems like you have to put your ALL in it, or it's meaningless. Hopefully someday I can learn how to dance!
