home.
Happy Summer! :) It's starting to finally feel like summer, and I'm lovin' it!
I started taking a beginning photography class at IVC, so I've been learning more technical skills, which I'm hoping to apply to my photos. :) Such an obvious statement, but I never realized how many photographers are on flickr! I could spend hours on end looking at other people's photographs...it's amazing!
Anywho, I stumbled upon a photographer's site where he photographed around his house. (I can't remember the site though...) Last weekend when I came home, I was inspired to try to do the same.

rach and mari.
I've photographed Rachel before, but this time, I photographed her and Marisabel. I met these two girls last year, and they're super sweet, (Rachel, not as sweet...jk!), and it's been such a joy seeing how they've grown and how God's shaping them into beautiful women of God.
We went to North Lake Park. This park has this HUGE man-made lake, and there are a bunch of houses surrounding it. There's a lot to do there, and it was fun looking for places to shoot.
I actually wasn't sure how to photograph them, but I guess when two people are really good friends, it just comes naturally. Can't wait to see where God takes your friendship. <3

traci - senior portraits.
People have been asking me to take pictures for them lately, and I'm not complaining. When I told Traci that, she said, "Sometimes you don't have to look for opportunities, but sometimes they come to you". True true!
I've known Traci since middle school. We go to the same church back at home, and I feel like I've known her forever. Even though I've never done a portrait session before, it was interesting to do. We ended up going to the Camp in Costa Mesa! The Camp is a pretty popular, urban hang-out/shopping place. Lots of cool decor there. :)

summer day.
A few weeks ago, I did a photoshoot with my friend, and asked another friend to model for us. This was just for fun, and it felt great being able to put my camera to use for my own sake, I guess.

We ended up going to the Thousand Steps in Laguna Beach, and there seems to be almost a thousand steps, but there probably aren't. I'm pretty out of shape myself, so this was quite the workout. When we were heading down the stairs, there were a few people running up! So intense!
Anyway, here are the pictures. :)

Don't worry faithful followers who have been coming to a deserted blog; I have a lot more to post. ;)

bwam.
I forgot to post some pictures on here! :)
For my spring break, instead of going back home and relaxing, I decided to go with a team of 6 other college students on a mission trip to Boise, Idaho. Boise is pretty random, but it's a beautiful place! We helped out with an organization called Create Common Good. We worked on various projects and learned about the countries they're from, ranging from Bhutan, Nepal, to the Congo, and interacted with them, too. It was a blessed week being able to talk to the staff, the refugees, and also people who go to the church. If you want to read more, we have a blog that you can read here.
