realization.

For the past few days I've been going through all of the pictures I have -- deleting pictures that are blurry, already edited, etc...and I realized that I most definitely need an external hard drive. Ha...

To my few readers, I will be posting with pictures soon. There are so many pictures, but no time! :P

love is blooming.

:)

remember.

children no longer.

Wouldn't it be great if the only thing holding us down was a seat of rubber and metal handles? When we still believed we could fly? But it's just another memory, locked up for now.

photoshoots.

These are different pictures that I had intentional photoshoots for. Or, that I was a part of.

Photo Club:
Went to the Irvine Tunnels! First time there, and it was pretty cool! They had two models working with different types of photography, flash and natural light, but I opted for the natural light...because I kind of go for the natural. As a lot of photographers feel, I am very awkward when giving models direction...perhaps it's because I really like candid shots...hm! We shall see...

Headshots:
One of my friends asked if I could take pictures for him so that he could have a portfolio. Mm, once again, I wasn't sure what to do, but he did a pretty good job of modeling! A few other friends came along to just watch, so I caught a few of them too!

getty.

Sometime during the winter break, a few of my friends and I went to the Getty Museum in Los Angeles just to take pictures of ourselves. haha, I know that sounds kind of bad, but it was fun being able to dress up cute. Plus, it makes for a good portfolio! ;)

(Actually, we didn't even look inside the museum...haha. So sad...)

paa.

At UCI, we have people called "Peer Academic Advisers". One of my friends is one of them, and over the summer, she called and asked if I could do a mini photoshoot for them because they wanted some pictures to put up in their office. I was at home, but I decided to drive back to Irvine to do the shoot. It was definitely fun and worth it, despite it being hot and such. :)

norcal lovin'.

Before our sophomore year of college, some of my friends and I planned a road trip to San Jose to hang out with some of our friends for a little under a week. It took a lot of planning beforehand, but it was definitely worth it and a lot of bonding time. Going up there made me fall in love with NorCal and understand why they have so much pride in living there.

what started it all.

These are the engagement pictures that I shot for my sister and brother-in-law. It was a very spur-of-the-moment decision. We were sitting in the Borders cafe, and I was looking at a wedding photography book, and my sister jokingly said, "Steph, you could take our pictures!" And I got really excited, and then she suddenly said, "Okay! Let's do it! This weekend!" So with last minute planning, we packed up and left a week later with my other sister to visit Yosemite National Park for two days. It was pretty spontaneous and exciting. I have her and her husband-in-law to owe for this new-found passion for this. :)
